Overview

The route at a glance

Lemosho is one of the most scenic routes on Kilimanjaro, approaching from the quiet western side.

On this version, our 4×4 takes you from Londorossi Gate up to Morum Barrier Gate (3,400 m), so your first day is a short walk across the heath to Shira 1 Camp, already on the Shira Plateau.

From there you climb high and sleep low via Lava Tower, scale the Barranco Wall, and reach Uhuru Peak from Barafu. It suits experienced hikers with limited time.
